With the completion of a large, bold exterior identity sign at T. Rowe Price headquarters, a final piece of Baltimore’s skyline falls into place. YDI designed this milestone sign after having also worked on several other nearby buildings in the Harbor Point neighborhood. This illuminated sign is visible from all waterfront points around, as well as from across the harbor in Locust Point and beyond.

This project was the recipient of an American Institute of Architects (AIA) “Excellence In Design Award” honorable mention, recognizing its important role in revitalizing the harbor front, and setting “a new standard for extending the city’s urban fabric.” From YDI-designed exterior signage, to landscaping using indigenous plant life, all aspects of this project aim to enhance the essence of downtown Baltimore and its waterfront.

In the building’s interior, YDI implemented comprehensive ADA signage across all 8 floors, and provided tenant guidelines for future retail. Code signage and smaller exterior signs on Point Street round out the project. T. Rowe Price’s mixed-use headquarters will evolve to meet the needs of the city and its neighborhood – the building can be segmented in many ways to accommodate a wide variety of future uses.
