The landscaping plans called for a combination of wood and concrete – so YDI designed signage with similar materials to keep a consistent look throughout the park. Painted metal panels with easily-legible, applied white lettering rounds out the wayfinding functionality.

Painted metal wraps around solid cedar wood for these identification post signs throughout the park, with white vinyl lettering. The interplay of natural and manmade materials creates an interesting juxtaposition while also playing off the finishes of the skatepark and other buildings at Rash Field.

YDI designed custom artwork for these informational panels that highlight environmental science. The playful, colorful art style contrasts with the simplicity of the signage materials used, and invites people to explore Rash Field Park further while learning more about it.

This post sign for the BGE Pavilion in the heart of the park uses Rash Field’s signature construction of painted metal wrapped around a wider cedar base, with an angled cut across the top. The wooden beams recall pier and piling materials in the nearby Inner Harbor, as well as the natural finishes found throughout the park itself.
